Super-curricular activities are extra-curricular activities which are taken on top of the standard school curriculum to demonstrate one’s interest in the subject.
Oxbridge, in particular, will be looking for those which can showcase the student’s exceptional academic capability, and that the student is an independent learner who is also critical-minded, passionate and self-motivated.
The possibilities for super-curricular activity are endless; it is never too early to get your acts together to apply for a summer placement or to enter yourself for an academic competition, to sign up for a subject magazine or to check out the recommended subject reading list.

It is important to be selective about your choices to make sure you have the time to commit to all and that they will form a complementary set of evidence on your personal statement to support your passion for the subject.
