How to apply to a Cambridge if you are US student

Cambridge is one of the most elite institutions that one would hope to get into.

For students in the US, the process of applying is very similar to that of domestic students.

The first step is to create an account with UCAS - the university application online platform for UK university applications, and fill out the required section before the October UCAS deadline for Oxbridge applications. You are able to pick 5 university courses for your entire application, but you can only put down either Oxford and Cambridge, but not both.

On top of it, US students would need to fill in the SAQ questionnaire which include further details about yourself and your application.

The minimum requirement for GPA is 3.7 although it might be true that many students who apply would have a higher GPA. Although a GPA lower than 3.7 might not necessarily mean that you would receive a rejection letter straight away. Cambridge always takes a holistic view on applicants academic ability and potential.
