At-interview (not pre-interview) assessments

For 2023 entry, applicants to all Cambridge Colleges for the following courses are required to take a written assessment if shortlisted for interview.

Cambridge courses that require written assessments:

Archaeology Architecture Classics English History History and modern languages History and politics History of art Linguistics Modern and medieval languages Philosophy Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion

As part of the Oxbridge interview process, students may need to sit an at-interview assessment, and for Cambridge admissions the subjects (mostly humanities subjects) that require one are as follows:
